Fourth Round of Iranian-Arab Dialogue Begins Today in Doha
WANA (May 10) – The fourth Iranian-Arab Dialogue Conference, titled “Strong Relations and Mutual Interests,” begins today in Doha, Qatar, with the participation of Iran’s Foreign Minister.
This conference is being jointly organized by the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations and the Al Jazeera Center for Studies. It brings together a distinguished group of officials, experts, and researchers in regional and international affairs. The event will run from May 9 to May 11, 2025.
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, who earlier traveled to Jeddah to meet with senior Saudi officials, is scheduled to arrive in Doha later today to meet Qatari officials and attend the conference.
The opening ceremony will take place today, Saturday, May 9, at 7:00 PM local time in Doha, featuring prominent figures from the region. Araghchi is among the keynote speakers at the opening session.
Previously, three rounds of the Iranian-Arab Dialogue were held over the past three years, under the joint initiative of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations and the Al Jazeera Center for Studies. These sessions focused on “Dialogue on Regional Crises,” “Security, Economic, and Crisis Solutions,” and “Dialogue for Cooperation and Engagement.”
The fourth round aims to deepen Iranian-Arab dialogue and explore the possibility of establishing a sustainable strategic partnership to address regional challenges.
Participants will take part in specialized panels to develop theoretical and practical frameworks for enhancing regional cooperation based on mutual understanding and trust.
Key topics to be discussed include major challenges in West Asia, Lebanon’s internal situation, the crises in Syria and Yemen, the Palestinian issue, and strategies to strengthen economic cooperation between Iran and Arab countries.
